Warrant Officer Class 1 (RSM) Sahrol bin Haji Omar joined the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in June 1996 and has undergone recruit training in Training Institute RBAF. Upon completion he was posted to 3rd Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), appointed as a Rifleman. In 1999, he was posted to Support Battalion RBLF (SP BN RBLF) and has held various appointment from Troop Commander Driver, Troop Commander Gunner, Troop Vehicle Commander Troop 3, Armor Store and Squadron Sergeant Major.

He was promoted to Warrant Officer Class 2 in 2014 and became Drill Sergeant Major (DSM). In 2018, he was promoted to Warrant Officer 1 and he was appointed as Regiment Sergeant Major at Support Battalion RBLF. He was then posted to Training Institute RBAF on 1st July 2019. Throughout his career, he underwent various mandatory and functional courses. In 2010, he attended Senior Gunnery Instructor at Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron, SP BN RBLF. In 2011 he attended Mandatory Security Awareness and in 2013, he joined Familiarisation Health and Safety Course as well as Leadership and Management for Warrant Officer in 2016.

He was awarded ‘Pingat Jubli Perak Hari Kebangsaan’ (2009), ‘Pingat Jubli Emas’ (2011) and ‘Pingat Indah Kerja Baik’ (P.I.K.B) in 2017. Warrant Officer Class 1, RSM Sahrol bin Haji Omar is married with Suzaina binti Azamain and blessed with two daughter and two son.
